Flu and Covid Vaccinations 2024 – Sedbergh Medical Practice
The seasonal flu and Covid 19 vaccinations have begun and the first clinic on 5th October was a success with over 440 patients vaccinated for flu, covid or both.
We were given strict guidelines from NHS England on the dates we can start to vaccinate, and we could not deviate from this. We have one remaining booked sessions in October Saturday 19th October.
If you are eligible for Covid we will have contacted you, but please ring if you are over 65 and havent heard from us. This is the last Covid clinic we will be running this season.
To be eligible fro the flu vaccine you must fall in to one of the categories listed below. Please check social media, our website, and any messages we send you for more details.
Eligible for vaccination from 1st September 2024
pregnant women
- all children aged 2 or 3 years on 31 August 2024
- all children in clinical risk groups aged from 6 months to less than 18 years
Eligible for vaccination from 3rd October 2024
- those aged 65 years and over
- those aged 18 years to under 65 years in clinical risk groups
- those in long-stay residential care homes
- carers in receipt of carer’s allowance, or those who are the main carer of an elderly or disabled person
- household contacts of immunocompromised individuals
- frontline health and social care workers
We will be sending out invitations via text message for you to book your flu vaccination. If you do not have a mobile phone, then the practice staff will contact you to book an appointment. If ringing the surgery about flu vaccinations, please do not ring between 8am – 10.30am as this is our busiest time on the phones.
COVID 19 & Flu booked clinic’s – Anyone eligible from the lists above apart from 2- and 3-year-olds
Saturday 19th October – 8.30am –11.30am
Week commencing 7th October 2024 – Walk-in service (FLU vaccinations ONLY) - No appointment necessary.
Walk – in service available Monday – Friday (10.30am -6.30pm there could be a short wait if you attend during lunchtime) please note the vaccine may be administered in the waiting room.
The walk-in service is for FLU vaccinations ONLY
We regret there is no walk-in service here for Covid-19 vaccinations.
